AMP Underrepresented in Medicine Travel Award

AMP is pleased to offer travel awards for individuals that are underrepresented in medicine in the United States. Per the Association of American Medical Colleges, these individuals will be from "...racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population." AMP will consider applications from individuals working in the field of molecular medicine who identify as African Americans and/or Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Pacific Islander, and mainland Puerto Rican.  

AMP will select multiple recipients who will recieve complimentary registration to the AMP Annual Meeting & Expo and up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement. 

Applications will be judged based, in part, on a brief (≤ 250 word) statement describing the applicant’s interest and the expected benefit(s) from attending this Meeting. AMP membership and abstract submission are not required for this award.

Award Amount: Up to $1,500 USD travel reimbursement plus meeting registration
