Additional Resources for International Members

  • Sample Exchange Program
The sample exchange program is an initiative of the AMP International Affairs Committee and is designed to facilitate AMP member inter-laboratory sample exchanges for molecular test validation. The program is also designed to facilitate AMP member inter-laboratory proficiency testing in non-U.S. laboratories that do not participate in the DNA Sample Exchange Registry provided by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). • International Outreach Program
The AMP International Committee is working to advance molecular pathology and AMP outside of North America. See the IAC Outreach: Non-U.S. Conferences page for dates and locations of upcoming programs.
  • International Membership Grant Program
Thanks to generous donations to the AMP Jeffrey A. Kant Leadership Fund, each year a selection of non-U.S. laboratory professionals who would not otherwise have access to AMP services and activities due to limited financial resources in the applicant's local environment are granted one year of AMP membership at no charge. The recipients will be AMP Regular members with online access to AMP's journal, The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics. Successful applicants will receive AMP membership for one calendar year. Depending on fund availability, selected recipients may be invited to apply for a second year grant. See the International Membership Grants web area for application materials and a list of current awardees.
  • International Trainee Travel Awards
The AMP International Trainee Travel Award provides travel assistance to the AMP Annual Meeting for up to three (3) selected international AMP member trainees (Residents, Fellows, and Students) who reside and are employed outside the United States and do not receive travel support from their institutions.  Learn more details
