Neoplasms With Germline Predisposition in Clinical Practice (AMP co-sponsored course at CAP 2024)

This course will review the growing body of knowledge regarding neoplasms with underlying germline predisposition that is useful for pathologists in any practice setting or career stage. A case-based approach with audience polling and problem-solving activities during workup and interpretation will be incorporated and introduce concepts to help participants identify situations where further testing for hereditary cancer predisposition should be considered. Examples of well-known hereditary cancer predisposition will be reviewed and include genetic testing algorithms and familial cancer risk   assessment. Practical considerations will include specimen types used for germline testing, test types and selection, interpretation of germline variants identified during somatic testing, and communication of results.   Faculty will refer to established practice guidelines and provide other useful resources to help understand these conditions and aid daily practice.

European MSC Molecular Pathology

The EUMS and the ESP are proud to launch a new European Master’s in Molecular Pathology with the support of Université Cote d’Azur. This new program was created in response to the pressing need to perform standardized, reproducible and exchangeable molecular diagnostic analysis.It will be delivered through blended learning, with a mix of online and on-site modules. Applications will run until 15 September with the course starting on 11 October 2023. Modules will be held:

November 2023: Seville, Spain
March 2024: Graz, Austria
June 2024: Groningen, The Netherlands
