Training in laboratory management is a required component for all molecular pathology fellowship and pathology residency programs. Laboratory management is also an integral component of the laboratory professional’s toolkit. Because different training programs vary in the time devoted to, and content covered in, laboratory management training, however, some early-career laboratory professionals may feel ill-prepared to manage a molecular laboratory.
This self-paced certificate program covers the best practices in many areas of laboratory management and reporting, including financial aspects of laboratory management, accreditation and quality control, ethics in molecular pathology, effective communication strategies, how to manage informatics data, results reporting, and much more.
This course is a free offering from AMP Education Programs and we encourage the use of the content, in whole or in part, to fill gaps in laboratory management training. The course is comprehensive and can be used as assigned content for trainees, supplemental content for existing curricula, or as a part of professional development for individuals.
