Molecular Genetic Pathology Review Course

The AMP Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) Review Course is a live event held biennially. The 2011 course was held April 28-May 1, 2011 in Rockville, MD. Visit the Program page for a detailed agenda. The next MGP Review Course will be held in Spring of 2013.

The MGP Online Self-Study Review Course is the online component of the live course that was held April 28 - May 1, 2011. It includes all presentations, slides, discussions, and tests conducted during the face-to-face event. The online version of the 2011 Course is available now. Note - registrants who attended the face-to-face course do not need to register for the online course to access the online materials.

The course itself features 3 1/2 days of intense update and review of molecular diagnostics that is primarily focused on preparation for the Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) Subspecialty Certification Exam* as well as other certification exams. Participants have the opportunity to learn directly from recognized experts in molecular pathology, most of whom hold MGP certification. A special feature is an online Pre-Test, with special test discussion sessions during the course.

The MGP Review Course is for pathologists and technical directors who:

 • Plan to take any molecular diagnostics certification exam in the current or coming year

 • Want to obtain the molecular pathology expertise needed in today's laboratory

 • Want to update their molecular pathology knowledge in a single focused course
