Conclude Poster Walks that originate at the Exhibit Hall entrance and will be led by AMP volunteers based on self-selected interests and topics.

Science Educator Workshop: Teaching Precision Medicine, Genomics, and Molecular Diagnostics in Your Classroom
The AMP Training & Education Committee presents a new, all-day workshop event targeting high school and college science teachers who live and/or work in the vicinity of Austin, Texas. The workshop day will include presentations on hot topics in precision medicine and molecular diagnostics, an engaging panel on the career paths into the field of clinical diagnostics, and hands-on, small group activities and teaching resources that educators can bring back to their classrooms! Registration for the Science Educator Workshop is now open. Although registration is free,* please be aware that seating is limited and priority is given to high school and college science teachers. Please share this new workshop announcement with your science educator network, especially in Texas!. Supported by Luminex and 23andMe.

Molecular Pathology Outreach Course (separate registration)
Wednesday, November 4, 8:30am - 3:45pm
New models of medical practice are evolving with increasing attention to the molecular pathology of diseases. The introduction of molecular testing into the clinical laboratories has increased our ability to provide novel types of information to health care providers. This course will provide an overview of techniques and instrumentation used in molecular testing from the framework of the "Molecular Pathology/Molecular Diagnostic Toolkit." The methodologies and technologies that comprise this toolkit will be introduced, followed by case discussions to demonstrate how these tools are employed in the molecular testing laboratory and the informatics pipeline. Emphasis will be placed on molecular testing in the areas of clinical genetics, solid tumors, hematopathology, and infectious diseases. The application of technologies; such as, next-generation sequencing and informatics, will be highlighted.

Corporate Workshop Day
AMP Corporate Workshop Day presents an opportunity for all AMP meeting attendees and the public at-large to learn from industry representatives about the latest scientific advances and equipment. Business & Awards Session
AMP invites all Meeting Attendees to attend the AMP Business & Awards Session on Friday, November 6 at 5:15pm. Come hear how AMP is working hard to help you advance patient care. A number of awards, including the Young Investigator, Technologist and the Jeffrey A. Kant Leadership Awards are presented at this session.

Social Event Luminex Welcomes AMP to Austin
The AMP 2015 Social Event: Luminex Welcomes AMP to Austin will take place on Friday, November 6 at 7:00pm at the Hilton Austin Hotel. Luminex Corporation is pleased to welcome all registered Meeting Attendees to the party of the year, so mark your calendar (and your registration form) and plan to attend this complimentary event! Eat, drink, and rock out with THE SPAZMATICS - the greatest '80s cover band in Texas - while you roll the dice at the casino tables, smile for the photo booth, and much more. Specialty Lunches
Your registration fee include lunch each day during the meeting. The general lunch in the exhibit hall is a great option as are the variety of specialty lunches. Most are organized by "interests:" such as, technologists, trainees, early career, International attendees, and first timers.
