Though the majority of AMP members reside in the U.S., the AMP founding members desired to create a global organization. Today, AMP members can be found in all continents except Antarctica. The AMP Internation Affairs Working Group endeavors to advance molecular pathology and expand AMP membership outside of North America.
AMP members who are on organizing committees of conferences outside of North America are invited to apply for AMP sponsorship and support for speaker travel. Contact AMP for more information.
A non-U.S. Affiliate of the Association for Molecular Pathology is defined as a new or pre-existing organization based outside of the United States whose primary focus is molecular pathology and that wishes to establish a formal relationship with the Association for Molecular Pathology.
AMP invites non-U.S. pathology and scientific organizations to affiliate with AMP as Non-U.S. Affiliates. AMP welcomed its first Affiliate - the Hong Kong Society for Molecular Diagnostic Sciences Limited (HKSMDS) in March 2013.If you would like to have more infromation about becoming a Non-U.S. Affiliate, please contact AMP.
The International Affairs Working Group, a working group of the Membership Affairs Committee, endeavors to advance molecular pathology around the globe through educational and professional activities.

The IAWG met informally with a selection of non-U.S. members and attendees during the AMP Annual Meeting in San Jose, California
