Clinical Practice Committee - Solid Tumors Working Group

MSI Working Group

The MSI working group met in November 2004 and discussed aspects of microsatellite instability (MSI) testing in colon cancer. The group is currently assembling a manuscript to address a number of areas of potential concern that laboratories may have in the implementation of MSI testing, including what tissue to test, which loci to examine, how to integrate immunohistochemistry, test interpretation and reporting and pitfalls.
