AMP Test Directory

Alexis B. Carter MD By Alexis B. Carter, MD
Editor, AMP Test Directory

All laboratories who utilize the AMP Test Directory were requested to update their directories back in June 2009. The response has been literally overwhelming. I have updated 90% of the requested changes and will be completing the remaining changes in the next month or so. AMP plans to request this update yearly from all member laboratories. As a reminder, laboratories that have not accessed their directories since June 1, 2009, will be contacted for updates separately. If there is no response or the laboratory director/test editor has declined further membership in AMP, then their directory listing will be deleted. Given the number of updates I have received, I do not think there are very many of these!

The updates have brought forth a number of issues with regard to available test types, accreditation status, and ease of data entry into the system. I am maintaining an active record of all of these issues and hope to resolve many of them with AMP Test Directory 2.0 (go-live date not yet assigned). If you have any additional feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me at abcart2@emory.edu.

Thanks!
