Member Survey Report
By Mary Steele Williams, MT(ASCP)SM
COO & Director of Scientific Programs

Last winter, we conducted a comprehensive online survey of the AMP membership in order to ascertain needs, areas where we’re “hot” (too in your face), “cold” (not serving needs adequately), and where we’re “just right.”  Your participation in surveys provides important information to committees, Council, and to the staff as we strive to allocate resources and efforts in a manner that will best serve the AMP Mission and member needs. We received 216 responses to this year’s survey, approximately 14% of the membership.  This issue of the AMP Newsletter provides an overview of responses to selected sections of the survey as well as some insights from Maricel Herrera and Mark Sobel into the logistics of the Annual Meeting.  While we conduct these online surveys only every couple of years, we continuously evaluate conditions and make changes as needed to increase member satisfaction.  Please contact the relevant Committee Chair, Council or Staff member at any time to discuss matters of importance to molecular pathology, or to provide suggestions to help us improve AMP.  Email addresses are in this Newsletter and in the online Member Directory.
