AMP Web
Editorial Board
As the newly appointed head of the AMP Web Editorial Board
and Website Editor, I would like to present to you this
newly formed and very exciting project. This endeavor,
formed under the auspices of the AMP Publications Committee,
will encompass all aspects of the Association for Molecular
Pathology pertaining to our internet presence. As you
familiarize yourself with this undertaking, I first want to
introduce you to our team. We had our first formal meeting
during the 2008 AMP Meeting. Members are divided into
“Design Team” and “Content Team”. Members were selected
from an initial solicitation regarding the project and the
level of interest put forth by all involved parties. I have
provided a copy of our organizational chart for your
information. “Design”, which is actually a second tier
component of this Board, includes Business Development/Grant
Writing (Ted Schutzbank and Stephen Schmechel)
and Web Design/Informatics/Marketing (me and AMP staff
members including Chris Wallington, Alta Wallington). The
“Content” team is comprised of representatives, serving as
content editors, from each of the AMP Subdivisions:
Genetics (Ron Przygodzki - Ronald.Przygodzki@va.gov),
Hematopathology (David Bosler -
bosler.david@mayo.edu), Infectious Diseases (Wayne
Wang -
yfwang@emory.edu), and Solid Tumors (George
Netto -
gnetto1@jhmi.edu and Katherine Geiersbach

katherine.geiersbach@aruplab.com). As
liaisons on the Board, Kathleen Murphy (AMP Web
Library Editor -
kmurphy4@jhmi.edu) and Alexis Carter (AMP
Test Directory Editor -
abcart2@emory.edu) will be working with us to
push this project to the next level. We will be working
together to integrate the AMP website, the AMP Test
Directory, and other aspects of the AMP website to make
it easier to navigate, so as to become a hugely powerful
resource for all. I am sure you will hear more from us as
we increase our operational capacities. Stay tuned for
continued updates. If you have suggestions, questions, or
want to be more involved, please do not hesitate to contact
me or the other members of the Board!
