I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shuji Ogino for all he has done for CHAMP. Shuji was the moderator for CHAMP for about four years. During that time, he made a great effort to maintain and improve the quality of CHAMP. He was both very enthusiastic about as well as dedicated to his duties, and paying great attention to detail.

I would also like to thank Terry Dunn, Jeffrey Kant, and Mary Williams for their advice. They have been very helpful with their second opinions about difficult posts that CHAMP sometimes receives. Their years of experience in this field shed light on complicated posts and made the moderator’s job easier.

Bernadette Wildemore has now become the Associate Moderator for CHAMP. I would like to thank her for her help in sharing the moderation workload. She has so far done an excellent job in this position.

I remind all CHAMP posters of some general guidelines for the listserv and about common issues that we find in posts:

CHAMP represents a wide audience in different fields of molecular pathology. Please be specific in your posting titles so that others can easily determine if the message pertains to them. If you would like to respond to specific individuals, please address your replies to them directly, not to CHAMP

The Moderators try their best to approve and disapprove messages impartially, based on CHAMP guidelines and whether or not we believe the message is appropriate and of interest to the membership at large. Please do not take these decisions personally, and if you feel there has been a mistake, please contact me or Bernadette.

We are all working hard to provide the best service for all AMP members. We encourage you to make the most of it. Please continue to enjoy CHAMP.
