Participants of the JMD CME Program in Molecular Diagnostics should be able to demonstrate an increase in, or confirmation of, their knowledge of the latest advances in molecular diagnosis and prognosis and understanding of molecular pathogenesis of disease after reviewing specific articles in The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (JMD).  This program is specifically developed for trainees, clinicians and researchers interested in the molecular basis of disease and the application of nucleic acid and protein assays for diagnostic and prognostic analysis of disease.

CME Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) and the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP). FASEB is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

FASEB designates this educational activity for a maximum of 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

To receive credit for this journal-based CME activity, participants must answer questions based on selected articles in Volume 10 of The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics (calendar year 2008) and achieve a cumulative score of at least 75% (correct answers to at least 38 of the 50 questions in the annual program) in addition to completing an evaluation form.

Disclosure Policy: The Federation requires that participants of FASEB-sponsored educational programs be informed of an author’s academic and professional affiliation and the existence of any significant financial interest or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) mentioned in the educational activity. This policy allows the reader to be fully knowledgeable in evaluating the information being presented. Disclosure includes any relationship that may bias one’s representation or which, if known, could give the perception of bias. The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics requires that authors certify any affiliations (e.g., employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, expert testimony) with any organization or entity with a direct financial interest in the subject matter or materials discussed in the article. Any such disclosures shall be indicated on the question sheets for this continuing medical education journal program.
